Carpenter Place (formerly known as Maude Carpenter Children’s Home or MCCH) began as an act of benevolence in 1943 by a congregation of the Church of Christ in Wichita, Kansas. Over 67 years of service, programs have included residential care, foster care, adoption, and counseling. In 2000, the focus became residential treatment for girls in crisis. Our goals have expanded to include the family in the training and counseling so that the family may be successfully reunited.
We do not accept state or federal aid for our services, but depend on the generosity of individuals and churches in order to provide Christian-based treatment, counseling and education.
